The Clinic
Opened in May 2025, our new clinic provides everything a first opinion practice can offer in the comfort of a homely setting.
Designed for cats
Reception
Our beautifully decorated reception area has tables for your cat's carrier so you can sit next to them while you wait, and cat-TV streaming so kitty can have an interesting distraction. Feliway is plugged in to help keep kitty calm.
We provide hot drinks for those who didn't have time for a cuppa before they left!

Consultation Rooms
With accessible-sized doors and a flip-down table, there is space to get everyone settled.
We've tried to avoid a stark 'clinical' look, aiming for a more 'home office' vibe!
We like to let kitty explore the room in their own time, and have left a cupboard space empty at floor height making a handy hiding space, as well as provided climbing opportunity for the more adventurous types.
Plenty of bribery options are available on the shelf, and along with our feline-friendly handling techniques, we find most of our patients are able to relax here.
Cattery
Our snazzy 'Cat Condos' can be divided to make four units or opened up to make two large condos so toileting can be separated from napping and eating. There is even a perch for those who like to be up a bit higher.
We provide covered hiding boxes so kitty can feel safe and secure.
In addition, we spray the blankets with soothing Pet Remedy, and play them calming classical cat music!

The 'out back' area
As well as storage and office space, there are other important parts that make up a veterinary clinic.
An in-house laboratory station includes our pre-anaesthetic blood machine and microscope for certain tests, and sample preparation area for sending other samples off externally.
The all-important cleaning station, where there is strict colour coding for cleaning of the different parts of the clinic, and the never ending laundry process occurs.
Surgical instruments go through a thorough cleaning regime of scrubbing, soaking, 'zapping' in an ultrasonic bath, before packaging and auto-claving (like a huge pressure cooker).
And of course, the high priority staff tea-making area!
Dental room & imaging
This room is fully lead-lined - a requirement of x-ray facilities, and houses our body x-ray machine and dental x-ray machine, along with the fancy computer and software needed to process the images.
This is where we will carry out ultrasound scans as well, as we can make it nice and dark - but with a special treat for kitty - a disco lights machine to help distract them from the procedure!
We also have our dental machine here, with its descaler, polisher and high-speed drill - all required for the intricate work of feline dentistry.

Surgical theatre
All sterile surgery is performed in the surgical theatre, so that there is no contamination from the dirtier procedures like dentals. Anyone entering theatre must wear different 'theatre-only' shoes, and scrub-suits. (Image coming soon!)
